What is an invisible character?

An invisible character is a real Unicode character that holds a place in a text box but shows nothing on screen. Apps that reject an empty field often accept one, which is how people make blank names and empty messages.

The most widely accepted one is the Hangul Filler (U+3164). The Braille Pattern Blank (U+2800) is a good backup. Zero-width characters take no space at all, so they are useful for joining or separating text without a visible gap.

How to use blank text

1. Tap Copy next to a character above. 2. Open the app and go to the name, bio or message field. 3. Delete what is there, paste and save. If the app says the field is empty, copy two or three characters instead of one.

Where invisible characters work

Discord nicknames and messages, TikTok and Instagram display names, WhatsApp messages and group names, many game usernames and spacing in Instagram bios. Apps change their rules often, and some strip or block certain characters. If one is removed, try another from the list.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I make a blank name on Discord?

Copy the Hangul Filler, open your server profile and paste it as your nickname. Some servers block blank names with moderation bots.

Can I have an invisible name on TikTok or Instagram?

Usually only in the display name, not the username. Usernames must contain letters or numbers, so the blank part goes in the Name field.

Is copying invisible characters safe?

Yes. They are standard Unicode characters with no code or tracking inside. Some communities treat blank names as impersonation, so follow their rules.

Is this tool free?

Yes. It is free, runs in your browser and needs no account.
