Slate is a free online invoicing platform for Israeli businesses, freelancers and companies. Create invoices, receipts and other business documents in your browser, with digital signatures and automatic Israel Invoice allocation-number requests. The service offers unlimited documents, businesses, customers and items under its terms, without requiring a credit card or a trial period that ends. Choose the documents that fit your business: tax invoices, combined tax invoices and receipts, receipts, transaction invoices, quotes, orders, payment requests, delivery notes and credit invoices. Enter the customer and line items, check the totals and issue a numbered PDF. Slate presents the document types appropriate to the business type selected during setup. Digital signatures are applied on the server when documents are issued. There is no smart card or software installation to manage. Issued documents are locked against editing, with corrections handled through the appropriate credit-document process. Each document includes a QR code and a public verification link, so the recipient can check the signature, check that the document has not changed and download its PDF without an account. Slate connects to the Israel Tax Authority for Israel Invoice allocation numbers. After the initial connection, requests are sent automatically for documents that need them and the number is printed on the document. If the authority does not respond, the document page provides the available follow-up options and keeps track of the user's decision. Businesses should review the current requirements that apply to their transactions. Reports include periodic VAT, detailed VAT in PCN874 format, profit and loss, aged receivables, income by month and customer, sales by item and receipts by payment method. Accountant access and uniform-format exports support work with the people who handle your accounts. Uniform-format exports include INI and BKMVDATA files, alongside other reporting and document exports. Manage several businesses in one account. Each business keeps its own numbering, document template and logo, while customer and item records make repeat work easier. Switch between businesses without rebuilding the account for each one. Moving from another system? Import a uniform-format file, Excel or CSV and review the reconciliation report before anything is written. Historical documents remain separate from live numbering and retain their original numbers. AI helps map imported columns, and the user reviews and approves the mapping. Receipt images can also be reviewed before their information is saved. Slate supports English and foreign-currency documents as well as Hebrew. Documents share the numbering and digital-signature process, with the exchange rate signed alongside the document and the shekel amount retained for reporting. The interface can switch fully to English, including menus, forms, error messages and document names, with a left-to-right layout. Use Slate on a computer, phone or tablet. It runs in a web browser and can be added to a phone's home screen for a full-screen experience without an app-store download. Your business account and issued documents stay available across devices. AI assistance is part of the workflow, but the user remains in control: AI drafts are proposals and are saved or sent only after approval. Additional tools include a digital business card and pension and study-fund simulations.
